What Our Customers Are Saying
| Manufacturer | IBC Controls |
The IBC Controls rotation monitor (F29510105) is a compact magnetic proximity sensor used to confirm fan and motor rotation in AHU, FCU, and ventilation systems. Supplied with a magnet, mounting bracket, and a 5 m cable, it provides a reliable end-to-end solution for rotation detection without additional wiring accessories.
• Part number: F29510105
• Manufacturer: IBC Controls
• Sensor type: Magnetic proximity
• Cable length: 5 m cable length, which is suitable for installations where the controller is not immediately adjacent to the fan or motor
• Included accessories: Mounting magnet and mounting bracket
• Compatible controllers: IBC Controls MiniMax, MicroMax, and VariMax parametric controllers
• Application: Fan and motor rotation monitoring
• Output signal: Pulse (per revolution)
• Designed for use in AHU, FCU, and ventilation control applications
• Fan rotation confirmation in air handling units (AHUs)
• Motor rotation monitoring in fan coil units (FCUs)
• Supply and extract fan providing in ventilation systems
• Belt-driven fan installations where direct motor monitoring is not possible
• Rotation proving for parametric controllers (MiniMax, MicroMax, VariMax)
• HVAC plant protection triggering alarms or shutdowns on fan failure detection
• Installations requiring a longer sensor-to-controller cable run (5 m)
The monitor works by detecting the magnetic target fitted to the rotating shaft or fan hub. A pulse signal is sent to the connected controller each time the magnet passes the sensor face, allowing the controller to verify that the fan is running at the expected speed. If rotation stops or falls below the setpoint, the controller can trigger an alarm or shutdown output. This closed-loop protection is a fundamental requirement in modern AHU and HVAC plant installations.
Also available in 2 m, 3 m, and 10 m variants, see the IBC Controls accessories range for the full selection.
