The sensors are standard control components that are used to monitor one or more specified fluid variables. How a sensor works
An active sensor is a sensing device that operates with the help of an external power source. Active sensing devices collect data about the environment and convert it to a digital signal that may be sent to the control. The value from the sensing device will subsequently be converted into a temperature reading by the controller.
Passive sensors, often known as probes, are devices in air handling systems that provide resistance values to the controller with which they are linked. The control then converts the resistance value. Visit our article about sensors in HVAC on our IACS blog.
