An actuator is a machine part that is in charge of moving and controlling a mechanism or system, such as opening a valve or a damper. An actuator responds to a control signal by transforming the energy from the source into mechanical motion. The AHU controls manage the actuator by reading the air values (such as CO2 levels, differential pressure, and so on) and sending an input signal to the actuator.
